MAG REVIEW OVERDUE

THE MOTORCYCLE ADVISORY GROUP at VicRoads was due for review in 2014. In January 2015 Vicroads wrote to me about it. Five months later VicRoads still controls the administration, operation of MAG and appointment of rider representatives to MAG.

The Victorian motorcycle & scooter community is the only road user group that is not allowed to appoint/elect its' own representatives and this is to a committee that directly affects the lives and safety of riders and their families.

At the community consultation session at the Melbourne Town Hall on June 2, 2015 I gave VicRoads CEO John Merret a copy of the above letter and told him MAG was a closed shop that other rider reps should be let in to.

We shall see.
