Motorcycle & scooter riders will gather in Alexandra Avenue near the Swan Street Bridge tomorrow morning for the annual TOY RUN. Melway map 2G reference A9.

Riders will bring gifts to help folk and families that might otherwise miss out during the festive season.

At 11.30 am the column of decorated motorcycles, sidecars, scooters and trikes will travel from Alexandra Avenue Father Bob's HQ in Victoria Avenue, Albert Park The grand parade will be led by Santa on a Harley flanked by two riders from the Paramedic Motorcycle Unit of Ambulance Victoria. The route is via Bay Street, Port Melbourne then Beaconsfield Parde to Victoria Avenue, Albert Park.

Blues band Ridgeback will play from noon out side The Vincent Hotel in Victoria Avenue.

Gifts and donations will be officially handed over to Father Bob at 1pm. The official presentation will be made by The Hon David Hawker AO. David was Speaaker of the House of Representatives and currently chairs the Motorcycle Advisory Group at VicRoads. He will ride his Harley in the TOY RUN parade.

Melbourne's TOY RUNS began in 1978. In 2013 the TOY RUN is organised by the Independent Riders' Group for the Father Bob Foundation. It is an exciting and colourful part of our city's Christmas tradition, a family day with a carnival atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to join the fun.
