NO WRONG. NO WORRIES?

DRACONIAN LAW PUSHERS will tell you that if you've done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear from law enforcement. They say it because they want the majority of the population to relax while the pushers increase their control of the population.

Free country to police state is a short way.

Too often police do not understand the nature of changes to laws and the way laws are enforced. Too often police do not agree but feel they not are able to do anything about the changes.

I can't imagine that the young officers who strip-searched a soldier who was a member of Patriots MC in Queensland, feel too happy about their action. I'm sure they did not want their search reported in the national media and on the internet.

There are about 1.4 million Australians who are licenced to ride motorcycles & scooters. Police estimate there are less than 5000 members of  "outlaw" motorcycle clubs and admit that not all of them are violent criminals. Work out the percentage. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that the social engineers are targeting less than 0.3%, not even a third of 1%, of Australian road riders to nail a group already covered by existing laws.

And, law-abiding riders across OZ are being hit with heavy-handed spot checks and searches for no better reason than their choice of transport. That's un-Australian. That's shameful.

We Australians let this happen over the last decade or so. Apathy. Older riders have seen this kind of vilification of motorcyclists and the campaigns for restrictive legislation/regulation/tax in Australia before. The 1970s were full of holier-than-thou zealots going to rid the roads of bikies in the name of road safety. This time it's in the name of law and order.

And this grab for power and control effects every Australian, soldier, sailor, tinker, tailor, young and old. For more on the situation our country faces in 2014. go to our face book pages.

There were way too few young riders at the Melbourne FREEDOM RIDE on December 1. I suspect it was the same at runs in other capital cities. Apathy. She'll be right mate. Can't happen to me. But it can. Someone said that evil wins if good people do nothing. That's true.

Reminds me of a story some one else told.

This bloke was sitting at home having a beer in front of the telly. Someone in the next town was taken away because someone said he did something wrong. He didn't think about it. Later another bloke in this town was taken away. Must have done something wrong, eh? Then a woman in the same suburb went. Not his problem. Police down the street were loading a couple of nieghbours in the back of a big yellow taxi. Best not get involved.

He got another can and went back to the TV. He was just getting into the Simpsons when there was a knock at the door.

When his missus came home, the house was empty.

Go see your MP before you get bailed up for questioning because you choose to ride a motorcycle or scooter.
